On this day July 1, 1986, Wham! released their third and final studio album, Music from the Edge of Heaven. The record marked the end of the duo's brief but wildly successful run as one of the biggest pop acts of the 1980s. It reached number 10 on the US Billboard charts and served as a farewell to fans as George Michael prepared to launch his solo career.
