On this day July 1, 1984, Christian rock artist Steve Taylor broke his ankle during a live performance at the Cornerstone Festival in Grayslake, Illinois. In the middle of an energetic set, Taylor jumped off the stage and landed badly, resulting in a serious ankle injury that left him unable to walk.
