On this day February 25 1985 Tears for Fears released their second studio album Songs from the Big Chair. The album became a massive commercial success reaching number one on the US Billboard 200 and also topping the charts in Canada Germany and the Netherlands. It went on to sell over five million copies in the US alone cementing the band’s status as one of the biggest acts of the 1980s.
