On this day February 25 1985 Paul Young released Everytime You Go Away a song that would later become his biggest hit. The heartfelt ballad climbed the charts and eventually reached number one in America on July 27 1985, holding the top spot until August 2. It also hit number one in Canada, solidifying Young’s success as an international pop star.
