On this day February 23 1983 Subterranean Jungle the seventh studio album by the Ramones was released. The album saw the band trying to return to their punk roots while incorporating a more radio friendly sound. While it did not achieve major commercial success it still reached number 83 on the US Billboard 200 and remains a fan favorite.

Subterranean Jungle featured a mix of original songs and covers including Time Has Come Today by The Chambers Brothers and Little Bit O Soul by The Music...
