On This Day August 5 1983 – Twice Upon A Time Premiered In Theaters.

On this day August 5 1983, Twice Upon A Time premiered in theaters, delivering one of the most visually unique animated films of the decade. Produced by George Lucas and directed by John Korty and Charles Swenson, the movie used a blend of cut out animation and stop motion techniques to tell a surreal fantasy story unlike anything else in mainstream animation at the time.
