On this day April 29 1985, Freddie Mercury released his first and only solo studio album Mr. Bad Guy. Known for his incredible voice and larger than life stage presence with Queen, Mercury took a bold step into a more pop and disco influenced sound with this project.

Mr. Bad Guy peaked at number 159 on the US Billboard 200 but performed much better in the UK reaching number 6. The album showed a different side of Mercury with tracks that mixed upbeat dance rhythms and emotional ballads...
