On this day April 14, 1988, the final episode of the sci fi detective series Probe aired, ending its short run after just one season and eight episodes. Created by William Link and Isaac Asimov, the show followed the adventures of genius inventor Austin James, played by Parker Stevenson, as he solved high tech mysteries with the help of his assistant Mickey, played by Ashley Crow.
