The film stars Brooke Shields and Martin Hewitt, with Tom Cruise making his debut and featuring James Spader. Although the budget remains unknown, the movie grossed $32.4 million at the box office. A notable highlight is the theme song “Endless Love,” performed by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, which topped the American charts from August 15 to October 16, 1981.
