On this day, October 4, 1980, Queen’s iconic hit “Another One Bites the Dust” reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100! The song, which stayed at the top of the charts for three weeks, from October 4 to 24, also hit #1 in Canada, Spain, and Israel. Written by Queen’s bassist John Deacon, this bass-driven track became one of the band’s biggest hits worldwide.
