On this day, July 26, 1985, “National Lampoon’s European Vacation” premiered in theaters, featuring Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, Dana Hill, and Jason Lively.

Did You Know?
The movie cast different actors for the kids because Anthony Michael-Hall, who previously played Rusty, backed out at the last minute to star in “Weird Science.” This resulted in Dana Hill and Jason Lively joining the Griswold family for their European adventure.
