On this day, November 30, 1982, Michael Jackson released Thriller, an album that redefined music and cemented his place as the King of Pop. Featuring a blend of pop, rock, and R&B, Thriller became an instant classic, topping the US Billboard charts as well as charts in the UK, Canada, Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Australia.

With iconic tracks like “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” and the title song “Thriller,” the album won 8 Grammy Awards and produced some of the most memorable music videos of all time. Fun Fact: Thriller remains the top-selling album in history, with over 66 million copies sold worldwide.
