Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
I can’t believe that I forgot to share one of my favorite 80s movies Mask. What a great movie. It was based on a true story about Rocky Dennis who had a facial deformity. He was played by Eric Stoltz and Cher played as his mother. Sofia from the Golden Girls was grandma in the movie.

His actual name was Roy Lee Dennis. Rocky was his nickname. He suffered from an extremely rare sclerotic bone disorder known as craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. CDD is a bone disorder that causes bone tissue to build up excessively, including in the skull, causing gradual compression of the brain and thus intracranial hypertension.
