On this day, December 18, 1987, the spy parody Leonard Part 6 premiered in theaters. Directed by Paul Weiland and starring Bill Cosby, Tom Courtenay, and Joe Don Baker, the film follows retired secret agent Leonard Parker as he is called back into action to stop a villainous plan involving mind-controlled animals.

Despite a $24 million budget, Leonard Part 6 grossed just $4.6 million and has become infamous as one of the worst films ever made. Even Bill Cosby publicly disowned the movie, advising audiences not to watch it. The film’s over-the-top plot, lackluster humor, and critical panning earned it a notorious place in cinematic history.
