On this day, November 24, 1987, Keith Sweat released his debut solo album, Make It Last Forever. The album became a massive hit, peaking at #15 on the Billboard 200 and reaching #1 on the R&B charts. With its smooth production and timeless tracks, the album helped pioneer the New Jack Swing sound.

The album featured iconic hits like “I Want Her” and the title track, “Make It Last Forever,” which showcased Sweat’s signature blend of soulful vocals and infectious grooves. The album sold over 3 million copies, solidifying his place as an R&B legend.
