On this day, November 24, 1987, Keith Sweat released his debut album, Make It Last Forever. The album became a massive success, peaking at #15 on the Billboard 200 and claiming the #1 spot on the R&B charts.

With its smooth production and iconic tracks like “I Want Her” and the title song “Make It Last Forever,” the album helped define the New Jack Swing sound of the late 80s. Selling over three million copies, it established Keith Sweat as a pioneer of contemporary R&B.
