On June 27, 1989, The B-52’s released their fifth studio album, “Cosmic Thing.” The album quickly rose to prominence, reaching #4 on the Billboard charts. Its infectious and quirky style struck a chord with fans, propelling it to the #1 spot in both Australia and New Zealand. “Cosmic Thing” featured the hit single “Love Shack,” which became an iconic party anthem and solidified the band’s place in pop culture history.
