This sitcom starred Elizabeth Peña as Dora Calderon, a housekeeper from El Salvador, and Daniel Hugh Kelly as Peter Farrell, an architect who marries her to prevent her deportation. The show humorously explored their unconventional marriage and the challenges of blending their lives.

The series also featured a young Juliette Lewis as Peter’s daughter, delivering one of her early television performances before her breakout roles in the 90s. Despite its clever premise and talented cast, I Married Dora struggled in the ratings and ended after just one season with 13 episodes.
