The cast also featured Bill Maher as her fellow attorney and roommate, Marty, adding a comedic dynamic to the series.

Despite its clever humor and talented cast, Sara struggled with ratings and was canceled after just one season, producing 13 episodes. However, it provided an early showcase for Geena Davis, who went on to achieve major success in films like The Fly and Thelma & Louise.
