On this day, January 16, 1986, the final episode of Shadow Chasers aired on ABC, marking the end of the short-lived supernatural comedy-drama. Starring Dennis Duggan, the show followed the adventures of a skeptical journalist and a paranormal researcher as they investigated bizarre and mysterious phenomena.

Despite its intriguing premise and blend of humor and the supernatural, Shadow Chasers struggled to find a consistent audience and was canceled after just 13 episodes.

Fun Fact: Dennis Duggan, who played Jonathan MacKensie, later became well-known for his role as the dad in the 1987 teen comedy Can’t Buy Me Love.
