On this day, January 11, 1988, T. and T., an action-packed crime drama starring Mr. T, premiered in syndication. This family-friendly series followed T.S. Turner (played by Mr. T), a former boxer wrongfully accused of a crime, who becomes a private investigator after clearing his name. Together with lawyer Amy Taler, played by Kristina Nicoll, T.S. fought for justice for those who couldn’t fight for themselves.

The series ran for three seasons with a total of 65 episodes, blending thrilling crime-solving with Mr. T’s trademark charisma and motivational style. T. and T. became a hit with younger audiences, cementing Mr. T’s status as a beloved 80s and 90s icon.
