On this day August 28, 1987 the quirky horror-comedy House II: The Second Story hit theaters. Directed by Ethan Wiley, the film featured an ensemble cast including Arye Gross, Jonathan Stark, Royal Dano, Lar Park Lincoln, Amy Yasbeck, Bill Maher, and John Ratzenberger. Despite its modest budget of $3 million, the movie managed to gross $10 million at the box office. Though not as well-known as its predecessor, House II has garnered a cult following over the years for its unique blend of humor, horror, and supernatural adventure.
