On this day, November 18, 1985, Helloween released their debut studio album, Walls of Jericho. This album marked the band’s explosive entry into the power metal scene, with Kai Hansen taking on lead vocal duties alongside his guitar work.

Featuring fast-paced riffs, melodic solos, and a raw energy that set the stage for the band’s future success, Walls of Jericho is a cornerstone of the power metal genre. Tracks like “Ride the Sky” and “Guardians” remain fan favorites and showcase the band’s early brilliance.
