On this day August 29, 1988, the German power metal band Helloween released their third album, “Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. 2.” The album marked a significant moment in the metal genre, showcasing the band’s signature sound and solidifying their place in heavy metal history. While it peaked at #108 on the Billboard charts in the United States, it was a much bigger success in Germany, where it reached an impressive #5. This album, along with its predecessor, is often credited with helping to define and popularize the power metal genre.
