On this day, October 22, 1982, Halloween III: Season of the Witch premiered in theaters. Directed by Tommy Lee Wallace and starring Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, and Dan O’Herlihy, the film was a departure from the Michael Myers storyline, opting instead for a standalone story centered on a sinister plot involving Halloween masks. While the movie had a budget of $2.5 million, it grossed $14.4 million at the box office. Despite initial confusion and criticism from fans expecting Myers, Halloween III has since gained a cult following for its unique storyline.

Do you remember watching Halloween III when it first came out, or did you own it later as part of the franchise?
