I recently watched Fridays and when I say recently I mean like two years ago. I was curious because Larry David was on it and he’s freaking hilarious. It was pretty funny I have to say.
 
Fridays was great but it couldn’t compete with SNL back then.
 
SNL was great back in the 80s and like you said they dominated that scene. Fridays was still funny but just a tad late to the game.
