On this day, November 25, 1985, Dionne Warwick released her 26th studio album, Friends. The album became one of her most successful, reaching #12 on the Billboard charts and featuring the iconic hit “That’s What Friends Are For.”

The single, a collaboration with Elton John, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder, became a timeless anthem of friendship and charity. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 and raised significant funds for AIDS research and awareness. The album further solidified Warwick’s status as a music legend.
