On this day, October 3, 1982, Split Image, directed by Ted Kotcheff, premiered in theaters! The film starred Michael O’Keefe, Karen Allen, Peter Fonda, James Woods, and Brian Dennehy, and follows a young man caught in the grip of a cult and his family’s desperate efforts to bring him back. Despite its notable cast, Split Image had a modest box office return of $263,635.
