On this day August 21, 1980, the debut album of Black Rose, Cher’s new rock group, was released. This marked a bold move for Cher as she ventured into the rock genre with this band. Despite the group’s potential and Cher’s star power, Black Rose only released this one album before disbanding, making it a unique and often overlooked chapter in her career.
