Frost released their groundbreaking debut album, Morbid Tales. This influential record introduced the world to the Swiss band’s unique blend of extreme metal, combining thrash, doom, and avant-garde elements to create a sound that would shape the future of metal.

In Europe, Morbid Tales was initially released as a six-track mini-LP by Noise Records. The U.S. release by Enigma/Metal Blade Records added two tracks, expanding it to a full-length studio album. Tracks like “Into the Crypts of Rays” and “Procreation (Of the Wicked)” became defining anthems of the band’s early career and remain classics in the extreme metal genre.
