Business as Usual by Men at Work is one of my favorite albums from the 80s. This album perfectly blends new wave and pop rock while showcasing the band’s humor and catchy storytelling. It’s more than just music for me it’s a time capsule that takes me back to my childhood in the early 80s.

Songs like Down Under Who Can It Be Now and Be Good Johnny bring back vivid memories. I can clearly picture sitting at the kitchen table listening to music on the small rotary TV in the corner. The music videos for these songs would play, and I would be captivated by the quirky energy of Men at Work. It was those small moments that made the early 80s so special.

The album is a perfect mix of fun and thoughtfulness. Down Under is an unforgettable anthem of Australian pride while Who Can It Be Now captures a playful sense of paranoia. Be Good Johnny feels like a snapshot of childhood. Business as Usual is more than an album to me it’s the soundtrack to a simpler and more carefree time in my life that I will always treasure.
