On this day, October 31, 1983, Brian May released the Star Fleet Project EP in collaboration with his friends Eddie Van Halen, Alan Gratzer, Phil Chen, and Fred Mandel. The project, born out of a spontaneous jam session, features three tracks with a mix of rock and blues influences, showcasing the guitar prowess of both May and Van Halen. Though not a commercial release like other albums, the EP is cherished by fans for its raw energy and the chemistry between these legendary musicians.
