On this day August 25, 1987, Aerosmith dropped their ninth studio album, Permanent Vacation. This album marked a major comeback for the band, climbing to #11 on the Billboard charts and revitalizing their career in the late 80s.

Permanent Vacation features some of Aerosmith’s most iconic tracks, including the hit single “Dude Looks Like a Lady,” which became a staple of their live performances. The album’s success was massive, with over 5 million copies sold in the US alone, cementing Aerosmith’s place as one of rock’s enduring legends.
