On August 2, 1988, the soundtrack for the movie “Cocktail” was released, featuring various artists. The album quickly rose to prominence, reaching #2 on the Billboard charts in the United States. It achieved even greater success internationally, hitting #1 in Canada and Australia. The soundtrack sold over 4 million copies in the US, becoming a significant commercial hit.
