On August 14, 1980, The Cars released their third studio album, Panorama, which quickly rose to #5 on the Billboard charts. This album marked a shift for the band, featuring a darker, more experimental sound than their earlier, more pop-oriented work. Despite this shift, Panorama solidified The Cars' place in the new wave genre and continued their streak of success.

Panorama might not have been as commercially successful as their previous albums, but it's definitely a must-listen for any fan of The Cars or 80s music in general.
