On this day, November 27, 1988, the drama series Almost Grown premiered on CBS. Created by David Chase (who would later create The Sopranos), the series explored the lives of a couple, played by Tim Daly and Eve Gordon, as they navigated different stages of their relationship through flashbacks and present-day storytelling.

Despite its unique narrative structure and critical praise, Almost Grown ran for only one season with 13 episodes, becoming a short-lived gem in late-80s television.
