On this day March 18 1987 the video game Goonies II was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). A sequel to the hit 1985 film The Goonies the game expanded on the movie’s story introducing new locations and enemies while maintaining the adventurous spirit of the film.

I played this game for hours when I was a kid. Never beat it though.
