On This Day: March 6 1989 When Dream and Day Unite by Dream Theater Was Released.

On this day March 6 1989 Dream Theater released their debut album When Dream and Day Unite. The album introduced the band’s progressive metal sound blending complex compositions with technical musicianship. Featuring Charlie Dominici on vocals this was the only Dream Theater album recorded before James LaBrie became the band’s longtime frontman.

While the album didn’t achieve major commercial success it laid the foundation for Dream Theater’s future as pioneers of progressive metal. Songs...

I was never a fan of these guys. They're extremely talented as musicians and I mean extremely but the music is too much for me.
