Directed by John David Coles, the film starred Beau Bridges and Vincent D’Onofrio and featured a strong supporting cast including Arthur Kennedy, Kevin J. O’Connor, Will Patton, Georgia Engel, Kathy Bates, Mary-Louise Parker, and Kate Reid.

Set in a small Maine town, the story follows a man struggling to hold on to his boatbuilding business as his personal and financial life begins to unravel. Despite its talented cast and emotional depth, Signs of Life earned just 96,000 dollars at the box office during its limited release.
