On This Day: March 10 1989 Mr. Jordan by Julian Lennon Was Released
On this day March 10 1989 Julian Lennon released his third studio album Mr. Jordan. The album marked a departure from his earlier soft rock sound incorporating a more experimental and modern production style.

Although it peaked at number 87 on the Billboard charts the album featured notable tracks like Now You’re in Heaven and I Want You to Know which showcased Julian’s evolving artistic direction. While not as commercially successful as his debut Mr. Jordan demonstrated his willingness to explore new sounds beyond the comparisons to his father John Lennon.

Fun fact: Now You’re in Heaven was produced by Patrick Leonard who was also known for working with Madonna on several of her hit albums.

Trivia question: What was the title of Julian Lennon’s debut album released in 1984?
