On this day May 3, 1986, "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer Climbed to the Top of the U.S. Billboard Charts, Holding the #1 Position in America from May 3rd to 9th. It Also Achieved #1 Status in Australia.
Fun Fact:
Initially Planned as a Duet with Chaka Khan, Yet Her Record Company Refused Permission for Collaboration with Palmer's Label, Island Records.
