There were so many amazing cartoons in the 80s but let’s be honest half the fun was collecting the toys that came with them. For me it was GI Joe. I had a bunch of the vehicles and figures and spent hours setting up battles all over the living room. The detail in those toys was just next level.

Which cartoon had your favorite toy line? Did you have the full set or one you could never find but always wanted?

Oh this one’s easy for me it was She Ra all the way. I had the Crystal Castle and a bunch of the dolls and I used to mix them in with my Barbie stuff. The colors the glitter the capes it was all so magical. My brother had He Man so we’d sometimes do crossover stories when we weren’t fighting over who got the living room rug. That toy line was so underrated back then but I loved every bit of it.

I liked my He-Man toys especially my Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain but their toy line didn’t compete with GI Joe. They had a huge selection of toys and I mean huge.

Oh I get what you are saying. GI-Joe had so much stuff it was crazy. Every time we went to the store there were new figures or ships popping up on the shelves.

I was just such a She Ra girl. The colors and the sparkle totally had me hooked. I loved my Crystal Castle.

Yes the toys were nonstop. I saw some different items every time I went to the toy store which for me was Play World, Toys R Us and Kaybee.

Listen I was a teenager in the late 70s and from then and into the 80s it was star wars toys everywhere so I’m going with that.

Star Wars toys were everywhere. They probably outdid GIJoe in that department.
