On this day, November 7, 1989, the final episode of Chicken Soup aired on ABC. Starring comedian Jackie Mason, this sitcom explored the comedic ups and downs of an interfaith relationship between Jackie’s character, Jackie Fisher, and a Catholic woman. Although Chicken Soup ran for just one season with 12 episodes, it delivered plenty of laughs and showcased Jackie Mason’s unique humor.
