On this day, November 22, 1988, Pink Floyd released Delicate Sound of Thunder, their first live album since Ummagumma. Recorded during the band’s 1987–88 tour for A Momentary Lapse of Reason, the album captured the magic of Pink Floyd’s legendary live performances, featuring iconic tracks like “Comfortably Numb,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “Another Brick in the Wall (Part II).”

Delicate Sound of Thunder was nominated for a Grammy Award and became a landmark live album, marking Pink Floyd’s successful return to the stage after Roger Waters’ departure. Its epic soundscapes and masterful performances continue to make it a favorite among fans.
