On this day, November 27, 1985, Rocky IV premiered in theaters across the United States. Starring Sylvester Stallone as the iconic Rocky Balboa, the film delivered one of the most memorable showdowns in the franchise, as Rocky faced off against Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren, in a Cold War-era boxing battle.

Packed with action, emotion, and a legendary soundtrack featuring songs like “Hearts on Fire” and “Burning Heart,” Rocky IV became a box-office smash, earning its place as the 3rd highest-grossing movie of 1985.
