On this day July 3, 1985, Back to the Future premiered in theaters and instantly became one of the most beloved films of the decade. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, the film starred Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as eccentric inventor Doc Brown.
