On this day, November 17, 1980, John Lennon and Yoko Ono released their iconic album Double Fantasy. The album, featuring hits like “(Just Like) Starting Over,” soared to #1 on the US Billboard 200 charts and topped the charts in the UK and Canada as well. This release was especially memorable, as it was Lennon’s final studio album before his passing. Double Fantasy later won a Grammy for “Album of the Year,” cementing its place in music history.
