On this day, November 28, 1986, the action-packed film Eye of the Tiger premiered in theaters. Directed by Richard C. Sarafian, the movie starred Gary Busey as Buck Matthews, a Vietnam veteran who returns to his hometown only to find himself battling a ruthless biker gang.

The cast included Yaphet Kotto, Seymour Cassel, Denise Galik, and William Smith, delivering intense performances that added to the film’s gritty, revenge-fueled narrative. While it didn’t achieve blockbuster status, Eye of the Tiger remains a cult favorite for fans of 80s action films, bolstered by its memorable title song from Survivor.
