On this day, December 31, 1982, the supernatural horror film One Dark Night was released. Directed by Tom McLoughlin, the movie combined psychological terror and supernatural elements, delivering a chilling story perfect for fans of 80s horror.

The plot follows a young woman, played by Meg Tilly, who is challenged to spend a night in a mausoleum as part of a high school initiation. Unbeknownst to her, the mausoleum is the resting place of a recently deceased psychic who possesses telekinetic powers. The night quickly turns into a terrifying ordeal as strange and deadly phenomena begin to unfold.

Fun Fact: Director Tom McLoughlin later became known for his work on Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986), which is widely regarded as one of the best entries in the franchise.

Trivia Question: What was the name of the character played by Meg Tilly in One Dark Night, who accepts the challenge to spend the night in the mausoleum?
