On this day March 6 1984 the sitcom a.k.a. Pablo premiered on ABC. Starring comedian Paul Rodriguez the show followed the life of a struggling Mexican American stand-up comedian trying to balance his career with the expectations of his large traditional family.

Despite its attempt to bring Latino representation to prime-time television aka Pablo struggled with ratings and network support.
